ABOUT THE FIRM

Kalantre Architects (previously Kalantre & Associates) is a leading Architecture and interior design firm based in Jabalpur which was established in the year 1978 by Late Ar. Shri Madhav Kalantre.

The firm now headed by Sujeet Kalantre, Satish Kalantre, and Neeraja Kalantre creates a versatile body of work ranging from architecture and interiors of residences, hospitals, schools, hotels, tourism resorts, and corporate offices to retail and hospitality spaces.

They have in the past 42 years of practice completed almost 3000+ projects of various genres ranging from residential, commercial, institutional, and interiors won over 15 national and 35 State Awards in the architecture and interiors segment.

Kalantre architects’ distinct style of residential architecture uses varied materials & concepts and reinterprets them with a unique and contemporary design sensibility. The firm’s interest in global/local trends in fashion, lifestyle, and design is reflected in their varied palette of residences, restaurants, and hotel projects across the state.

Their clients range from individual homeowners to companies such as Honda, Jindal, BJP for India, Ashok Leyland, MakeMyTrip, D-Mart to educational institutions like Delhi Public School, and the Kangaroo kids School. Architectural Magazine listed Kalantre Architects in 2008 as one of MP’s most innovative architectural practices.

TRIBUTE TO THE FOUNDER

Late Ar. Shri. Madhav Kalantre

Kalantre and associates were founded by Late Ar. Madhav Kalantre. He studied Architecture at J.J School of Arts, Mumbai, and established his own design studio in 1978 after completion of 20 years of successful service at Military Engineering Services.

Quality through planning and workmanship was the watchword which he endeavored in all his projects till the last day.

He was a very prolific architect with vast experience in handling projects ranging from residential, commercial, hospitality, retail projects. His approach was highly appreciated in all his endeavors and as such he got promoted 20 times in a span of 20 years during his time of service at MES.

He was a passionate, self-taught leader, with an attribute to learn and unlearn quickly, which helped him cross the boundaries of confined architecture.

Ar. Madhav Kalantre with an unstoppable ambition, was a down to earth person, who did not shy away from accepting challenges as is evident from his scaled projects such as Jabalpur Hospital, Nandishwar deep temple, Primo pick-n-pack factory.

For his contribution towards quality architecture, he was awarded the title of (Bhishma Pitamaha) by the Indian Institute of Architects, Jabalpur chapter.

Ar. Sujeet Kalantre

Ar. Sujeet Kalantre is the backbone of Kalantre Architects with a focus on workable solutions to architectural problems in various sectors such as schools, hospitals, and the residential sector. He has an experience of over 25 years in the field of design and construction.

He passed out from MMCA, Pune university in the year 1991, and pursued his master’s degree in ‘Housing(Planning)’ from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.

His design philosophy is to adapt the structure to the user requirements and maintaining a balanced development that is aesthetically pleasing. All his projects are examined, based on its first principles on how to passively provide the fundamentals of comfort, safety, livability, and yet sustainably respond to the local climate and ecology while remaining economically viable and globally pertinent.

Ar. Satish Kalantre

An architect and an Urban designer Ar. Satish Kalantre, completed his bachelor’s from MMCA college, Pune university in 1992, and then went on to pursue his PG Diploma in Urban Design from CEPT Institute, Ahmedabad, and completed it by 1995. Post that he joined Kalanre architects along with his brother Ar. Sujeet Kalantre.

With over 23 years of experience Ar. Satish specializes in Hotel & Resort design; with a majority of his projects been designed for Madhya Pradesh tourism; along with a plethora of institutional, commercial, and residential projects.

Ar. Neeraja Kalantre

Neeraja Kalantre is an architect and interior designer who likes to deliver a project with a sense of the unexpected but respecting her clients’ personalities. She heads the Interiors team at Kalantre Architects.

Her work is about producing a modern contemporary design with transitional notes, creating serene, timeless, and elegant interiors She loves discovering her clients’ vision and approaches each project with an open mind to create something unique.

Her past projects range from individual homeowners to hospitality and restaurants to retail spaces. With over 25 years of experience, some of her notable projects include BJP headquarters Jabalpur, DPS school, Kangaroo kids school, Indian coffee house, and a number of residential and restaurant projects.

Ar. Harshal Kalantre

Ar. Harshal Kalantre graduated from Priyadarshini institute of architecture and design studies, Nagpur. With over a year’s experience of working with top firms in Hyderabad and Pune, he is all set to bring his plethora of knowledge and designs to embark on his journey to make architectural marvels.
